I simply can’t help myself from posting a blog on this. Police officers in the UK may finally get what they deserve or at least one anyway.
I am sure by now we have all seen the horrible attack by a Metropolitan Police officer upon the newspaper salesman Mr. Ian Thomilson. It has been discovered that a heart attack did not kill him! Instead it was internal bleeding of the stomach. This could have been brought on by the sheer force of the blow towards the now deceased mr. Thomilson by the unidentified police officer. With this discovery charges may now be raised against the officer on the grounds of manslaughter. By any other name this is accidental murder.
Why does it come to the public as such a shock that police officers attack innocent members of the public? We have in the past few years in the UK witnessed police brutality:
We shall go to first of all the underhanded methods of control used by police officers in Manchester against the Rangers fans. Or shall we go for the most shocking one of all? That 400 police officers in Strathclyde Police Force (largest in Scotland) are convicted criminals who in the past had the intent to maim and injure the innocent. At least then they could not get away with it as easily. Now however, they can get away with it far easier. Illusions and mirrors are sued against us the public as a way for us to be fooled into thinking the police are protecting us. At the end of the day they are protecting themselves. And the best example of this is selective evidence form Manchester. CCTV which showed police officers attacking innocent fans has suddenly vanished. CCTV which shows fans attacking police officers (perhaps edited from the fan defending themselves to make it seem as if they attacked the officer) remains.
All in all this can be put into the idea: “There are no worse criminals than the police themselves”. It is a sad day when we no longer feel safe to wonder our streets not because of strangers but because those who should defend you may attack you. Just because you are in the wrong place at the wrong time trying to get home. So I have a solution to this problem. Each time there is a planned mass demonstration send them to the countryside erect a fence and let them protest there. The police can be outside the fence and reporters can be inside it if they wish. Showing we still support protest and hopefully the police can’t attack anyone this way for exercising their inherent right as a citizen of the UK to peacefully assemble and protest.
